Wedge Fitting

Short game accuracy usually comes down to spin consistency and bounce that matches how you actually enter the turf, not how a chart says you should.

The Return Net

Calibrated for Honest Spin Numbers

Wedge shots don't fly far enough to trust an open-bay flight path, so we hit into a calibrated return net whose rebound speed is checked regularly. Combined with the impact plate underneath, that gives us a real spin-axis and spin-rate read on full and partial wedge shots alike.

We also test bounce and grind against a soft-turf mat setting, since Gulf Coast greens tend to run softer after a summer storm than a fast-and-firm inland course.

What Decides the Final Spec

Bounce & Grind

High bounce forgives a steeper attack angle on soft turf; low bounce suits shallower players on firmer ground.

Loft Spacing

We space wedges four to six degrees apart so full-swing distances don't overlap or leave a gap short of the green.

Groove Condition

Worn grooves show up on the impact plate as reduced spin even on a well-struck shot — often the actual fix is simpler than a full refitting.

Tighten Up Inside 100 Yards

Wedge sessions run 45–60 minutes and cover your full scoring set, not just one loft.
